Something wrong? Tell me.

One person makes this app, and that person reads every email. There is no ticket system and no bot — just nick@echohouselabs.com.

§ 01Before you write

An alert did not arrive. Check that notifications are enabled for Quiet Weather in your phone's settings, and that battery optimisation is not restricting it — aggressive power saving stops background refresh entirely, and that is the single most common cause by a wide margin. Then read the safety disclaimer: the app is not a substitute for official warnings, and never will be.

The weather is wrong. Quiet Weather does not make forecasts; it shows you what Open-Meteo and ECCC publish, and tells you when the models disagree. If the forecast is wrong, the forecast is wrong — what the app owes you is honesty about the uncertainty, not accuracy it cannot have.

A widget is stale. Widgets refresh on a schedule the operating system controls and can delay. Opening the app always refreshes them immediately.

No AQHI showing. The Canadian AQHI only appears where a monitoring station is near enough for the number to mean something. Showing a distant station's reading would be worse than showing none.

§ 02What helps in an email

Your phone model and operating system version, what you expected, what happened instead, and a screenshot if there is anything to see. For a missed alert, roughly when it should have arrived and where you were — that is usually enough to find it.

§ 03Deleting your data

There is no account and no server, so there is nothing for us to delete. Uninstalling Quiet Weather, or clearing its data in your phone's app settings, removes everything it has stored.

§ 04Feature requests

Welcome, and genuinely read. The app has a deliberate bias against adding things — the point of it is what it leaves out — so a "no" is not a dismissal of the idea, just of the noise.
